Selecting is easy. Getting the parts is not.
- Small volumes get poor pricingTens of pieces rank nowhere with factories and tier-one distributors, and the price is immovable.
- Popular parts queue for monthsThe moment factory capacity shifts, common part numbers tighten and lead times slip month by month.
- Alternatives feel risky to adoptSoftware-compatible parts look like easy cost savings, but nobody hands you a checklist for the clock tree and peripheral timing differences.
- Counterfeits are hard to spotGeneral-purpose MCUs are the most common target for refurbished and re-marked stock.
Commonly stocked and commonly sourced
The table below lists widely traded part number families — a quick way to check whether your parts fall inside our supply scope.
| Part number family | Typical role | Common packages | Sourcing note |
|---|---|---|---|
| STM32F103 / F407 | General-purpose 32-bit workhorse | LQFP48/64/100, QFN | High counterfeit risk — verify lot and marking |
| STM32G0 / L0 | Low-cost, low-power entry | TSSOP20, LQFP32 | Often short for pilot runs — plan ahead |
| STM32H7 / F7 | High performance, edge computing | LQFP144, BGA | Long lead time — futures pricing available |
| GD32F103 / F303 | Pin-to-pin alternative to STM32 | Same as STM32 | Validate clock tree and peripheral differences |
| ESP32 / ESP8266 | IoT MCU with integrated Wi-Fi | QFN, module | Modules cut certification cost at volume |
| ATmega / PIC16, PIC18 | Classic 8-bit platforms | DIP, TQFP | Legacy support — higher EOL ratio |
| NXP LPC / i.MX RT | Industrial and crossover MCUs | LQFP, BGA | Industrial and automotive grades quoted separately |

Frequently asked questions
Do you quote small prototype volumes?
Yes. There is no minimum order threshold; prototype quantities follow the same quoting process. Where volumes fall below factory packaging we break packs and label the batch.
What if the original part is EOL?
We propose pin-to-pin alternatives with a side-by-side electrical comparison and free samples, switching to volume only after validation — with register and clock-tree differences documented.
Are STM32 and GD32 directly interchangeable?
Most packages and pinouts match, but clock tree, Flash wait states and peripheral timing differ. We supply a verified substitution list and a per-item validation checklist.
