Samsung Electro-Mechanics, an electronics components subsidiary of Samsung Electronics, said on Wednesday that its revenue and operating profit both hit record highs in the third quarter, thanks to strong demand for products related to artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure. In a filing with regulators, the company disclosed that its operating profit surged 165.5% year-on-year to 691 billion won (approximately $516 million) during the July-September period, while revenue increased by 30.3% to 3.76 trillion won.
